Q. How much is it to rent a margarita machine from KC Margarita Man?
A. Our prices vary throughout the year based on availability and seasonal demand. Our average price is $150.00 . The price includes free delivery and pickup in our delivery area, (additional charges may apply for deliveries outside our immediate area), your first mix concentrate, use of our 5-gallon pre-measured mixing container, 50 cups, and a salt rimmer and salt.
Q. Are the machines easy to use?
A. Yes indeed! We mix the first batch for you and show you you how to operate the machine. We leave clear printed instructions. NO ICE IS NEEDED.
Q. How many drinks does one batch yield?
A. One batch of margaritas makes about 70 eight-ounce drinks. Our experience shows that usually half or more guests drink the frozen drinks even if offered a choice. We recommend one batch for every 25 frozen beverage drinkers. One machine will deliver frozen drinks for up to 60 frozen beverage drinkers. If more guests are expected, a second machine is strongly recommended, otherwise too much demand will be put on the one machine and it cannot perform properly. Q. How long does the machine take to freeze the drinks?
A. Indoors about 45 minutes, outside on warm days, about hour. There is no waiting time between batches because you add to the reservoir as you go, preferably before the machine's mix-low light comes on.
Q. Who provides the liquor and how much is needed?
A. The customer provides all liquor. A medium strength batch of margaritas calls for three liters of tequila and one half to one liter of triple sec. The margarita mix concentrate has some natural orange flavor added, some customers choose not to add the triple sec. This is of course a personal preference. The margaritas will be sweeter if triple sec is used.
Q. Are other kinds of drinks available?
A. Absolutely! Strawberry Daiquiris or margaritas, Pina Coladas, Painkillers, Raspberry Ritas, Mango Ritas, Banana Daiquiris, Peach Bellinis, Louisiana Hurricanes, Summertime Lemonade, Tropical Punch, Goombay Smash (rum punch), Rum Runners, Mudslides, Mai-Tai, and Dreamcicles. We also have KIDS flavors too. Flavors made especially for kids are Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, Dreamsicle, and Tropical Punch.
Q. What if I run out of mix during my party?
A. KC Margarita Man will make every effort to aid in the planning of your event prior to it's occurrence. We cannot, however, deliver extra mix to your party after it has started.
Q. If I buy extra mix and then don't use it can I get a refund?
A. Yes! any unopened mix concentrate can be turned into the delivery driver when they pick up the machine after the party. Refunds will be made within 30 days after your event.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. We gladly accept cash, Visa, or Mastercard. A credit card number is the preferred method to make your reservation, but we will mail confirmation of reservations should you elect to use cash. If using cash please have correct change available. Our drivers do not have change. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.
Q. What if I make a reservation and then have to cancel?
A. Cancellations can be made at any time up to 24 hours before your event, however a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel less than 1 week prior to your event. If using a credit card for payment, the sale will be charged to your account at this time. If the credit card sale is not approved, you will be notified and an alternate form of payment requested.
Q. How far in advance should I reserve my machine?
A. We recommend two weeks and longer for holidays and traditional party dates like Halloween, New Years Eve, and Independence Day. Please visit our Contact page to make your reservation today!
